I have never purchased a "reconditioned" appliance before, however I didn't want to waste money on an inexpensive blender. I wanted a good one with power but I didn't like the price tags. Taking a chance, I bought the Certified Reconditioned S30 model in my favorite color, red. I am SO happy I did as I now have the best of both worlds. It works like a champ, looks great on the counter, and saved me many dollars. Now that I'm enjoying smoothies and sauces, if I ever want to purchase an even larger blender, I know that I'll be back to Vitamix (and probably another reconditioned one!). Thank you!!!

Love using this for personal blending with the individual cups! I also love that it has the small contaminated to make small size soups, milks and ice cream for the entire family. Only downside is sometimes liquid comes out of base if blade isn’t screwed on tight enough, but that doesn’t happen very often.

This is my 2nd Vitamix. I decided to replace the one we had for about 6 years or longer. This is smaller, which is a perfect size and I love the fact that it has a 'spare' cup and the blades come away which makes it easy for cleaning and also purchasing other jugs if required. My 'but' in the title relates to the lid for the jug. The lid is top heavy and gets very slippery. It twists around as I am removing it, making it sit upside down on the jug. It can also get messy and splash the smoothie everywhere. This doesn't happen with the older model. I am not sure if it is as fast as the older, larger one either. However, I do prefer the new one for the reasons stated. I still have the original model hidden in the cupboard as my husband is resistant to change!
