The Shure SM7B Professional Dynamic Vocal Microphone is an industry-standard microphone trusted by broadcasters, podcasters, recording engineers, and musicians around the world. Renowned for its warm, smooth vocal reproduction and exceptional background noise rejection, the SM7B has become the benchmark for professional voice recording in studios, broadcast facilities, and home production environments alike.
Designed with a flat, wide-range frequency response, the SM7B accurately captures both speech and vocals with remarkable clarity and natural detail. Selectable bass roll-off and presence boost controls allow users to tailor the microphone's sound to suit different voices and recording applications, while the cardioid polar pattern focuses on the intended sound source and effectively minimises unwanted ambient noise.
Advanced internal air suspension shock isolation reduces mechanical vibrations and handling noise, while the integrated pop filter and included A7WS detachable windscreen minimise plosive sounds during close-mic recording. Enhanced electromagnetic shielding protects against interference from computer monitors and other electronic equipment, making the SM7B particularly well suited to modern recording and streaming setups.
The rugged all-metal construction and improved yoke mounting system provide reliable performance and precise microphone positioning for years of professional use. Famous for its role in recording iconic vocals, including Michael Jackson's Thriller album, the SM7B continues to be the microphone of choice for demanding recording professionals seeking consistent, broadcast-quality results.
Ideal for podcasting, voice-over work, livestreaming, studio vocals, and instrument recording, the Shure SM7B delivers legendary performance and reliability. For optimal operation, it is recommended for use with an audio interface or preamp capable of providing approximately +60 dB of clean gain.
