Drawing inspiration from the candle sconces found in Cistercian cloisters, the PINCH Posent light distils centuries of simplicity into a refined sculptural form. The Posent light is an expression of beautiful material juxtaposition, uniting the strength of turned oak with the reflectivity of hand-blown glass. Layered glass reveals movement in stillness
Each spherical shade is glass-blown at a specialist London workshop using traditional techniques. Layers of tinted and clear glass are rolled, shaped and cooled to form a mottled inner texture, capturing the fluid choreography of glassblowing in a moment that feels both dynamic and serene.
Brown oak with naturally vivid character
The timber dish of the Posent is turned from brown oak, a wood naturally darkened by the rare Fistulina Hepatica fungus. This organic process reveals rich variation and grain, giving each piece its own quiet drama, preserving nature’s hand as part of the design.
