The DTX600 was bought for emergencies on our Nullabor road trip. We only used it three times. Three times a life saver as navigating around road trains at highway speed is not for the faint hearted. This is a must for any traveller. Lightweight, amazing battery life and terrific range. Easy to use and sound quality is clear and accurate. A beaut device.

Was a good radio at first for Traffic Control Had it for 5 months, never been dropped never been seriously wet or anything but the past 2 days it kept dropping out when I was transmitting which isn’t ideal for traffic control, I tried cleaning the mic and checked there was nothing interfering with the antenna, I also realised that I was also missing out on the first second of inbound transmissions, played with all the settings and didn’t get any better so I returned it to repco and upgraded to another brand I’m sure it’s great for 4wd camping touring etc but for traffic control it’s not the best
