The ice cream attachment is a high-quality accessory that produces creamy, smooth, and flavorful homemade ice cream, gelato, and sorbet. Users praised its simple operation, quick churning time, and ability to customize flavors. While the large bowl size may take up freezer space, the attachment was described as a "game-changer" that has become a staple in many kitchens. Overall, the reviews were overwhelmingly positive, with customers highly recommending this versatile product.

    Not good
I got this attachment free with my standmixer years ago. I've tested it extensively and I can say with confidence that it's really not very good. It needs to chill in the freezer overnight before it can be used, so it's not very practical. Additionally, the bowl is quite large, so you need to actually have space in your freezer to store it. Finally, it doesn't stay cold for long enough to make icecream on a warm day. I got to the point where I'd put icepacks around my already prefrozen ice cream bowl attachment, covered all of that in foil and teatowls to help with insulation, plus I turn on the aircon. After all of that work, I can successfully make a batch of icecream before the icecream attachment becomes too warm. Trust me when I say I really tried with this attachment, but it really is poorly designed and not functional. I'd recommend just getting a purpose built icecream maker instead, it'll be the same price and you'll have better quality icecream and gelato with far less hassle.

Perfect Homemade Ice Cream and Gelato Every Time!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love the KitchenAid Ice Cream Bowl Attachment! It is so easy to use and makes beautifully smooth, creamy ice cream and gelato at home. The attachment fits perfectly onto the stand mixer and the whole process is simple from start to finish. The results have been fantastic — the ice cream comes out with a lovely texture and it is great being able to control exactly what ingredients go into it. It is also really versatile for making sorbet, gelato and frozen desserts. If you already own a KitchenAid stand mixer and enjoy making homemade treats, this attachment is definitely worth having. Excellent quality, easy to use and produces delicious results every time. Highly recommend!
