THIS SPEAKER IS THE ULTIMATE. I BOUGHT FOR MY HUSBAND FOR CHRISTMAS .THE SOUND IS VERY CLEAR WITH A LOT OF BASS. IT PLAYS LOUD AND THE STYLE OF IT IS JUST SO NICE. YOU CAN’T GO WRONG WITH ANYTHING FRIM JBL. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF U LOOKING FOR MUSIC THAT MAKES U WANT TO GET UP AND DANCE OR SING.

I love music. I surround myself in it. When I bought my Side x Side, everyone else spends $1000+ for stereos to run Bluetooth. I bought a Fire Extinguisher mount, mounted this to the underside of my roof above my rearview mirror. Works great! Strap it in the mount and I can ride all day listening to tunes and sounds amazing. Plenty loud over Can Am X3 engine noise. I can take it out anytime to charge it or to use it elsewhere. Amazing little speaker. CONS: I am disappointed that it doesn't charge also through 12v. That would have been helpful to keep it plugged in while riding. I wish there were grated covers on the ends or some type of cover. I don't need to see the mini sub flex. I'd rather have it protected.

I’ve been an audio enthusiast since the early 90’s and have listened to countless audio related configurations over the years with a critical ear, and when comparing every major brand within the same price range, the Xtreme 2 outclasses everything in terms of functionality, like being highly portable, waterproof with a high battery life, along with impressive captivating sound quality. The same can be said about its predecessor, the first Xtreme, as well as the Charge 3 and previous generations. Few flaws are noted, but should be mentioned to avoid any unexpected disappointments. Number 1 is it is not backwards compatible using the Connect feature for multiple speaker pairings. Anything not designated Connect+ will not pair together. Connect & Connect+ has been renamed PartyBoost on next generation JBL Bluetooth devices. Number two is not really a flaw in my opinion, but has been a complaint in other reviews. AC mode has higher dynamic impact than battery mode. In other words, using it simply on battery power, it has less “umph” than being plugged in. It is a necessary evil to balance sound output with battery life, but not the deal breaker some have wrote about. Other than that, i feel you’ll enjoy this speaker for many years as i have since 2019. Kind regards, The Speaker Freaker
