We’ve had our jbl charge 3s for going on 3 years. The day I decide to stay home from the gym as my wife continued to go, our jbl made a funny noise while charging, began to spark, and release a horrible smoke off in to our home. It caught flame and we had to throw it outside on to our yard. Our dogs would have been stuck inside in their crates.

The speaker is good but after 3 years it started to decharged in less than 30 min and get some interference in the sound. Now it only works plugged into an outlet. On the website it says 5 years warranty but the costumer service told me it only applies for purchase on their onw website, not from retailers. That makes no sense once it is supposed to be exactly the same product. Why the warranty is only 1 year if you buy from a retailer? It means we pay the same price for products sold by retailers but they are poorer quality? I'm very disappointed with the service, do not recommend it.

My JBL Charge 3 started to give distorted & crackling sound, within 2 years of purchase. Can't even play normal low volume music. Also battery life got reduced a lot, though it was used moderately or low. Mostly started using regularly in COVID lockdown. Now it's unusable, totally disappointed for this poor quality sound. More so because it's Samsung JBL. It wasn't expected from these brands. Read many similar reviews. Do not recomend this product, it's completely waste of money. Feels cheated for the price of ~10k Rs. Was expecting these speakers to work at least 10 years. Poor Battery life is expected though.
