Defective piece of junk. Breville would not replace it without me making a video of its operation. I was'nt going to run another batch of ice cream with it making a horrendous noise just to satisfy them. Returned it for refund instead. Would never buy one again.

Excellent performer. Its sleek design means it doesn’t take up too much space. Extremely easy to use and relatively quiet. With a range of settings to make every thing from sorbet to ice cream and everything in between. It will still require the end product to be put in the freezer for a few hours before eating but it’s still a much better end result and much quicker than using manual methods. When it comes to cleaning there is only the lid and the plastic churning blade that can go through the dishwasher the bowl has to be hand washed as th dishwasher with affect the metal causing discolouration. My only gripe is the spatula for removing end product isn’t long enough but this is a very minor complaint. I’ve had mine now for over six years and is still going strong. All in great machine, great price and easy to use. User tip look up nigella Lawsons recipe for ice cream the one with marscapone cheese in it I use this for every recipe/flavour I use and never gets so hard in the freezer that you can’t scoop it out.
