[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 5 years in and still going strong, not a single issue! I wanted a 49" monitor with speakers to clean up my desk and to remove the bezels from my multiple monitors. This single super-ultra-wide 49" monitor w/speakers just made more sense than my three monitors that were side-by-side and stand alone speakers. I literally only need two cables now (1-Power & 2-DP). Now there is nowhere for dust bunnies' to hide behind the monitor - oh and it has the added benefit of freeing up two of my display ports on the video card and power strip plugs not to mention all the speaker wires! Happy camper here - my only regret was not doing it sooner. While the sound isn't as good as a high end dedicated speaker by any means, it has been great for everything I've needed it for. Really good L/R separation helps with games and voices and music sound great too. A friend recently purchased the new ASUS ROG 49" w/speakers and let me tell you my 5 year old LG blows it out of the water with sound quality. If I need audiophile sound Ill just put my high-end headphone on. I'm extremely happy with this LG purchase, my next one will be another LG, albeit one with more of a curve to it and higher resolution since video cards have evolved to easily handle it nowadays.

Great monitor. I am sure they were lol'ing when they said that it had rich bass. Not expecting much from onboard speakers, but saying that they have rich bass is a very far stretch. Sounds like music from a tin can to be honest. Other than that, the monitor performs well. Does randomly flash from time to time.

Expensive and good - however had two issues. The dual controller does not work with AV firewalls switched on. LG eventually gave me a fix but it took a lot of escalation. For work its fine, but for videos,and games there are colour banding issues
