I upgraded to this product form a older model Philips shaver I had owned for 6+ years. I was looking at a cheaper model, however took the advice of the sales lady @ shaver shop and went with the 7000 series due to the increased number of blades and better shave quality. I currently shave every morning (mainly using a razor blade), my facial hair grows in multiple directions and if I used my old Philips shaver I would have to shave for a 2nd time in the evening if going out. Well not anymore. I set a challenge to only use my 7000 shaver for a whole week, I used a combo of wet (with shaving cream) and dry shaving. I was very impressed with the shaver quality and closeness. No requirement to shave for a 2nd time on the same day. I would recommend this product to anyone, now a few weeks on, I have used this everyday and I have only used a razor blade twice. I have not used the trimmer attachment. But read a lot of negative reviews as this is no longer a slide out tool, I don't see the big deal. The Nivea products were a great addition, I would never have purchased the after shave balm, but I think this product is great, make my face feel smooth and have found that I now get less irritation

I like the wide glide rings around each blade which gives a very comfortable shave. It works really well in preventing razor burn and works best if you shave regularly. If you are trimming longer hairs or around other facial hair, it can tend to pull these out rather than cut cleanly but overall found it to be more comfortable than the shaver (older Philips) its replacing. Charge time is quick and I get about a month of use between charges so really good battery life. Its also very easy to remove the blades for cleaning.

After using a Philips SensoTouch shaver for the past 5 years, I was very much surprised when I started to use my new Philips Series 7000 shaver. The ability to use it as both a wet and a dry shaver is great. The ease of cleaning, the comfort of the grip and, in particular, the smoothness of the comfort rings, makes this a superb, easy to use product. Overall the Series 7000 shaver is a great product that makes a daily chore an easy, non-irritating and comfortable experience.
